Qatar Airways has introduced a new era of culinary excellence through a landmark partnership with celebrated French chef Yannick Alléno, the most Michelin-starred chef in the world, with 17 stars across 19 restaurants in 7 countries. This collaboration signals the airline’s commitment to redefining the inflight and lounge dining experience by fusing haute cuisine with world-class service and innovation.

First and Business Class passengers will soon be treated to exclusive dishes crafted by Chef Alléno, whose signature style blends refined French gastronomy with global culinary influences. The menus, designed to reflect the French art de vivre, aim to deliver a sophisticated and memorable dining experience in the sky.

As part of this collaboration, Qatar Airways will also open a Pavyllon restaurant within the prestigious First Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The concept, which showcases Alléno’s renowned “gastronomic counter” experience, invites guests to dine facing an open kitchen—a celebration of culinary artistry and shared moments.

The partnership also includes the curation of bespoke First and Business Class menus on selected routes, along with exclusive creations for Qatar Airways’ lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. These offerings will highlight Chef Alléno’s signature “Modern Cuisine,” a style that tells the story of culinary evolution through innovative techniques and a deep respect for ingredients.

Yannick Alléno is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern French cuisine. Since founding his eponymous group in 2008, he has brought his culinary philosophy to 19 global establishments, earning a total of 17 Michelin stars. At the heart of his approach is a revival of classical French techniques—most notably sauces—elevated through cutting-edge methods such as extraction, fermentation, and cryo-concentration.

In 2014, he assumed leadership of the iconic Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris, establishing it as the world’s most Michelin-starred independent restaurant. There, he launched three distinct dining concepts: the three-star Alléno Paris, featuring a bespoke “Table Concierge” experience; the two-star sushi counter L’Abysse; and the one-star gastronomic counter Pavyllon. The Pavyllon brand has since expanded to major cities including London and Monte Carlo.

Through this partnership, Qatar Airways continues to position itself at the forefront of luxury travel, placing culinary artistry at the heart of its premium passenger experience. The collaboration with Yannick Alléno exemplifies the airline’s mission to continually push the boundaries of onboard and lounge hospitality.
