High above Bangkok, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit is toasting three years with a rooftop-inspired celebration. The hotel has launched “Feel the Skyline Vibes,” a package that pairs an overnight stay with Spanish tapas, cocktails and a sunset cocktail-making class.
The Package
The experience centers on LUZ, the hotel’s authentic Spanish tapas bar on the 33rd floor. Designed for two, the package includes daily breakfast, a set of tapas with a complimentary cocktail at LUZ, and a sunset cocktail-making class. Guests who stay three nights or more also receive a THB 2,000 food and beverage credit per room, per night, starting on the third night.
The Venue
LUZ draws on Meliá’s Spanish roots and invites diners on a culinary pilgrimage through Spain. The menu spans tapas, wines, beer on tap, cocktails and signature sangrias, all served against sweeping views of the Bangkok skyline. One of the bar’s most unusual touches is a peek through the transparent bottom of the hotel’s 34th-floor infinity pool, which is visible from the dining area below.
Spanish Chef de Cuisine Juan Ignacio García Racionero, known as Chef Nacho, leads the kitchen. He sharpened his skills in some of Spain’s top restaurants.
The Celebration
To mark the anniversary, LUZ hosted “LUZ Viva: A Taste of Madrid” on September 18. The rooftop party brought the energy of the Spanish capital to the 33rd floor, with authentic bites, cocktails and live entertainment. The festivities then moved up to the 34th floor for a poolside after-party.
The Hotel
Rising 34 floors above Bangkok’s On Nut neighborhood, the 208-room hotel opened in 2023. Its design takes cues from some of the Thai capital’s best-known landmarks. Amenities include the transparent sky-high infinity pool, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar and integrated co-working spaces.
The Giveaway
LUZ is also running a social media contest. One winner will receive a one-night stay at the hotel and dinner for two at LUZ. To enter, participants must follow @luzbangkok_tapasbar on Instagram, like the giveaway post and share it to their Story, comment with their favorite Spanish word, and tag their “favorite dining crew.” The winner will be announced on October 15 at 5 p.m.
