Hoshinoya Kyoto, a ryokan in Arashiyama, Kyoto Prefecture, where all rooms have a river view, will offer a private rental of the Hanazakura Terrace, where you can enjoy the view of weeping cherry blossoms from March 25 to April 9, 2023. Open for one group per day.
At the Hanazakura Terrace, you can enjoy the cherry blossom viewing with original Japanese sweets and a welcome drink made with seasonal strawberries. Meals during your stay include a special Korinzen meal while gazing at the cherry blossoms in the evening, and a morning hot pot breakfast under the sparkling cherry blossoms in the morning.
Two weeping cherry trees spread their branches right above the terrace, and you can see other wild cherry blossoms along with the cherry blossoms of Mt. Ogura on the other side of the terrace.
The wooden deck has sofas where you can sit comfortably, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing while enjoying food and alcohol. In addition, on the tatami-matted terrace, you can lie down and look up at the cherry blossoms, or enjoy reading under the sunlight filtering through the trees.
This year, the resort has a new drink for this occasion. The welcome drink is a special cocktail made with fresh strawberries, and sparkling sake.
In the evening, under the illuminated cherry blossoms, you can enjoy a special meal prepared by the head chef.
A morning hot pot breakfast with vegetables will be available as well. Edible plants are served with broth made from kelp and bonito.
