October is an ideal month for gatherings and festivities in Tokyo, offering a variety of food experiences, local festivals, cultural and artistic events, and, of course, Halloween celebrations.
One of the standout events is Taste of Tokyo, which celebrates the city’s agriculture and food culture through dishes prepared with locally grown produce. Following its 2023 edition, Taste of Tokyo 2024 will take place in Marunouchi, Hibiya, Yurakucho, and Toyosu.

The event will feature stalls selling food made with local ingredients, as well as markets offering fresh Tokyo produce and regional specialties. Nearby restaurants will also serve special menu items for the occasion. Additionally, cross-festival collaborations with the Tokyo Agricultural Festival, hands-on experience corners, and workshops will provide a day packed with activities. This large-scale event, held from October 25 to 27 in central Tokyo, will bring together food producers, chefs, and visitors in open-air spaces, celebrating Tokyo’s food products, culture, and gourmet cuisine.

The Tokyo Ramen Festa 2024, another highlight of the season, will be held at Komazawa Olympic Park Central Square in Setagaya-ku. This 12-day event, running from Thursday, October 24 to Monday, November 4, will be divided into three acts, each lasting four days. A total of 36 different types of ramen will be featured, with 12 ramen shops participating in each act, offering regional varieties from all over Japan.

The venues for Taste of Tokyo include Gyoko-dori Avenue and Marunouchi Naka-dori Avenue, with the event scheduled from October 25 to October 27, 2024. Entrance is free, but advance purchase of ramen tickets is required for the Tokyo Ramen Festa. During busy times, attendees may be asked to present their tickets upon entry. Tickets will be available at the ticket office inside the venue from 10:15 to 20:00 each day, except on shop replacement dates (October 27 and 31, and November 4), when tickets will be sold until 17:30.

Ramen tickets must be presented at the ramen booths and are valid throughout the event period. Both cashless and cash payments are accepted for ticket purchases, though neither same-day nor advance tickets are refundable.
