Angelo Immorlano, the acclaimed bar manager at Nobu, is set to host the event, ensuring that beverage enthusiasts have the opportunity to relish the offerings at the Nobu bar while Shingo Gokan puts his extraordinary expertise on display.
Running from 9:00 PM until midnight on both evenings, attendees will have the privilege of choosing from a lineup of four distinctive cocktails and two mocktail creations, all masterfully fashioned for this event. Renowned as one of the contemporary bartending world’s most accomplished figures, Shingo Gokan’s one-of-a-kind menu features concoctions like the ‘Shibuya,’ uniting Bombay Sapphire gin, The SG Shochu MUGI, tomato, osmanthus, and yuzu, and the ‘Okinawa,’ highlighting Bacardi 8 rum, Kokuto de Lequio, Campari, passionfruit, and orange wine. Additional intriguing libations include the ‘Xin Tien Di’ and ‘West Village.’ For those who prefer non-alcoholic alternatives, the ‘Fu-Xin Park,’ made with matcha and non-alcoholic gin and tonic, as well as the ‘French Concession,’ incorporating cucumber, pineapple, and lemongrass, await their exploration. Commencing his bartending journey in Tokyo, he later transitioned to New York in 2006, where he directed the renowned bar program at Angel’s Share for several years. In 2014, Gokan established SG Group with the launch of Speak Low in Shanghai. At present, SG Group oversees eight cocktail bars and restaurants located across China and Japan, each boasting a distinctive concept. In 2023, Gokan introduced the Kokuto de Lequio, a kokuto liqueur developed in partnership with the traditional Okinawan awamori distillery, Mizuho Shuzo.
