Within the Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC), Laguna Golf Lang Co and Ba Na Hills Golf Club achieved a significant milestone for Central Vietnam’s golfing reputation this week. They were recognized as two of the top 11 golf resorts in Asia.

These two clubs stood out on the leaderboard in a list compiled by golf.com, a renowned golf publication worldwide. This list covered premier golfing destinations in various countries, including Korea, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. Notably, these clubs not only secured high positions among the elite golf resorts in the region but also earned spots in the overall Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World standings by being included in the Asia list.

The Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC), a recently revitalized destination marketing organization connecting Central Vietnam’s premier signature golf courses, has seen a remarkable year of resurgence in golf travel to the region following the pandemic. This latest accolade further underscores the destination’s successful fusion of world-class golf with vibrant cities, stunning beaches, top-notch accommodations, and a remarkable infrastructure.

Adam Calver, Director of Golf and Marketing at Laguna Lang Co, remarked, “Having two Top 100 Resorts in a single golf destination is a true testament to the caliber of golf in Central Vietnam. With numerous other exceptional courses in this region, alongside Laguna Golf Lang Co and Ba Na Hills, it’s just the beginning of the exceptional golf offerings within the Vietnam Golf Coast.”

Central Vietnam’s outstanding golf courses have been steadily gaining recognition over the past few years. Courses like Laguna Golf Lang Co, a Sir Nick Faldo Signature Design, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club, designed by Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald across rolling foothills, rank among the best courses in Asia. The region also boasts courses designed by renowned figures such as Greg Norman, Colin Montgomerie, Robert Trent Jones Jr., and Jack Nicklaus.

Golf.com writers described Ba Na Hills Golf Club as a place that “feels like a world apart, with a serene atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the bustling activity of Danang.” They commended the diverse landscapes skillfully incorporated by Sir Nick Faldo into his Signature Design at Laguna Lang Co. This course is nestled between the ocean and jungle-covered mountains, providing golfers with a diverse range of challenges. Golf.com reported, “After playing at Laguna Golf Lang Co, you’ll realize it’s unlike any other course you’ve experienced—a supreme compliment to a golf course.”

Gary Dixon, General Manager at Ba Na Hills Golf Club, expressed his delight, saying, “This recognition is a fantastic honor for Ba Na Hills Golf Club and for Central Vietnam as a destination. With world-class courses complemented by exceptional accommodations, it has evolved into a truly comprehensive golf destination. Furthermore, with several new courses set to debut in the coming years, we anticipate more VGC resorts making it onto that list by the end of the decade.”
