It was that time of the year once again when people gathered to say ‘Prost’ and immerse themselves in the lively spirit of Oktoberfest. Traditional Bavarian delicacies like pretzels, schnitzel, and bratwurst adorned the tables, complemented by a wide array of hoppy beverages. The Saffron Brunch, infused with festive vibes, and the special activities at Wavehouse became the go-to places for anyone looking to celebrate everything Bavarian. The air was filled with the sounds of German Oompah songs, and dancers, dressed in lederhosen and dirndls, swayed to the tunes in the classic Schuhplattler style while revelers raised their mugs in joyful celebration.

Saffron’s Oktoberfest Brunch

Dubai’s beloved party brunch, Saffron, had brought Oktoberfest to Dubai on Saturday, 7th October. Guests were treated to overflowing plates of mouthwatering German delights, including sauerbraten, tarte flambée, onion pie, hähnchenschnitzel with sunny-side up, and more. The beverage stations received a Bavarian makeover, offering an extensive selection of draft beers, frozen drinks, spirits, and house wine. In addition to live DJs, brunch attendees could relish round-the-clock entertainment, featuring Bavarian-inspired dancers and performers.

Family-Friendly Oktoberfest at Wavehouse

Wavehouse’s Oktoberfest celebration promised a tantalizing gastronomic journey with Bavarian-inspired dishes starting from AED 55, accompanied by a range of thematic beverages. The festivities were enlivened by live acoustic sets from a German Oompah band, belting out hip-shaking hits. This family-friendly weekend event featured Oktoberfest-inspired artists and engaging competitions such as stein holding contests and pretzel eating challenges, fostering a spirit of friendly rivalry in the true Oktoberfest fashion. The special menu tempted with irresistible options like pretzels, German potato salad, schweinshaxe, and schweineschnitzel. Those with a sweet tooth could indulge in apple strudel featuring decadent cinnamon custard and vanilla ice cream.
