Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Accor, and Galaxy Macau™ have jointly announced the soft opening of Raffles at Galaxy Macau, an impressive addition to the city’s skyline. This much-anticipated luxury hospitality experience, boasting 450 lavish suites, is a collaboration between two renowned brands: Galaxy Macau, a global leader in integrated resorts, hospitality, and entertainment, and Raffles, the legendary hospitality brand born in Singapore in 1887. This marks Raffles’ first foray into Macau, setting a new standard for luxury hospitality and elevating guest experiences in the region. A grand opening, featuring the remaining signature restaurants, a bar, and a spa, is scheduled towards the end of the year.

This newest chapter in Raffles’ 136-year history, Raffles at Galaxy Macau, has been meticulously designed to embody the brand’s hallmark of cultured luxury and refined elegance. Situated on the east promenade of the resort, it comprises two towers connected by a glass airbridge, providing breathtaking vistas of the Macau skyline, the resort, and neighboring Hengqin island.

The concept behind Raffles at Galaxy Macau is akin to the private residence of a fictional 14th-century Italian merchant, adorned with a collection of unique artifacts from around the world. The property features exquisite art pieces, detailed craftsmanship, and precious materials, including Italian white Statuario marble and hand-crafted crystal chandeliers. The Raffles Butlers, professionally trained to ensure seamless, memorable, and heartfelt stays for guests, add to the luxurious residential pied-à-terre experience.

Reflecting Macau’s rich East-Meets-West heritage and modern vibe, Raffles at Galaxy Macau blends the traditions of the Raffles brand with the dynamic energy of Galaxy Macau. The property showcases a subtle peacock motif, symbolizing beauty, good luck, and royalty, woven into the design from the lobby’s glass motifs to the residential suites’ suspended ceilings.

At the heart of Raffles at Galaxy Macau lies the captivating lobby, an art-filled garden sanctuary that seamlessly blends interior and exterior spaces, bathed in natural light. This lush green space features 90 trees, 50,000 shrubs, and seasonal flowers, designed with sustainability in mind. The lobby also hosts a remarkable collection of art pieces celebrating the four seasons and the beauty of Asian nature, paying homage to the Raffles brand’s spirit and character.

The Raffles Lounge & Terrace takes center stage in the lobby, offering traditional European afternoon tea with a twist and a curated dining experience by Chef de Cuisine Yorick Soh Chin Chiang. By night, it transforms into a destination for delectable cocktails, including heritage creations like the Singapore Sling and the Macau Million Dollar Cocktail. A custom-made chandelier of 500,000 crystals and 23,000 crystal rods hangs above, creating a stunning focal point. Live piano performances entertain guests at the champagne and oyster bar.

Raffles Lounge & Terrace also boasts the ‘Green Art Wall,’ a 70-meter expanse incorporating hundreds of plants and LED lights to create a unique natural spectacle. Above, a glass ceiling simulates a changing sky using over 30,000 individually programmable LED nodes. This backdrop complements ‘Kaleidoscope,’ a striking three-meter-tall sculpture by Singaporean artist Sun Yu-Li.
