On February 1, 2024, the Colour Me Curious cocktail menu will be revealed at the award-winning Bar Trigona in Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The new beverage selection, full of vibrant colors and playful flavors, encourages guests to explore a variety of locally-inspired drinks.
Head Bartender Rohan Matmary explains, “Bar Trigona has always been a place of constant discovery. Our latest cocktails are carefully crafted to engage all five senses, each drink telling a captivating story through tastes, textures, colors, and aromas.”
In addition to the drinks, various aspects of the drinking experience are designed to ignite curiosity. The menu, displaying a rainbow of colors, is both informative and visually appealing. Moreover, the glassware, handmade with care, is chosen to complement each drink perfectly.
In their pursuit of pushing the boundaries within a glass, the renowned bartenders at Bar Trigona are showcasing the wonders of nature. They are introducing fresh interpretations of local essentials like nutmeg, rose apple, and torch ginger, while also incorporating inventive regional flavors such as miso, saffron, and ube (purple yam).
Through the use of craft mixology techniques such as sous-pression, fat washing, sous vide, barrel aging, and more, they are elevating local food and drink traditions. This promises Malaysians an intriguing journey filled with nostalgia, and for globetrotters, it serves as a gateway to experience the abundance of the country’s homegrown flavors.

The new menu at Bar Trigona offers a delightful array of colorful drinks. Guests can enjoy the violet-tinted Iris, a rich and nutty twist on the classic White Russian, the blushing Pastel with its floral notes, and the tropical Inca, a bottled tropical version of a Vieux Carre poured tableside, showcasing the artistry in every sip.
What makes the menu even more attractive is the selection of alcohol-free drinks that mimic the taste of their alcoholic counterparts. Rohan emphasizes, “We’re promoting mindful drinking with these signature concoctions, equally delicious with or without alcohol.”
For designated drivers and non-drinkers, there are tempting options like Petrichor, a lively blend of fig, vetiver, and pandan, and Scarlet, a fizzy and elegant drink with raspberry, roselle, and black truffles.
The Colour Me Curious experience extends to bottled cocktails available in 1, 2, or 5 servings—perfect for sharing with friends or as a takeaway nightcap or surprise gift.
As guests explore the cocktail list, they can also enjoy gourmet bites reflecting Malaysia’s multicultural spirit. From Trigona Tropical Caviar to Padron Peppers Bhaji, Lobster Ramen, and Coconut Flambé, the menu promises a fun and flavorful journey.
The sustainability journey at Bar Trigona, with the trigona honeybee at its core, unfolds through Curious Classics—a flight of three distinct tasters featuring rum, whisky, and gin.
