2023 Cherry Blossom Bus Tour with Picnic in Japan

Onsen ryokan “KAI Anjin” and “KAI Ito” located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture will operate the “Sakura Open Bus Tour” from March 22nd to April 9th, 2023.  In the season when the “cherry blossoms” that brightly color the arrival of spring in Japan are in full bloom, you can go to “Sakura no Sato”, which is famous for its cherry blossoms in Izu, and “Umenokidaira”, which is recommended by local staff.

In the Izu area where KAI Anjin and KAI Ito are located, beautiful flowers bloom all year round. This is a tour where you can learn more about cherry blossoms while riding on the bus.

Time required and Travel route:

Approx. 130 minutes / Distance traveled: 35 km

Depart from Kai Anjin → Kai Ito → Lake Ippeki → Umenokidaira → Sakura no Sato/Omuroyama (getting off time) → Kai Anjin → Kai Ito

* To Umenokidaira Approximately 30 Yoshino cherry trees

*Approximately 1,500 trees of 40 species, including Yoshino cherry trees, in Mt. Omuro, Sakura no Sato

Hanami set will be available in limited quantities.

During the tour, there will be time to get off the bus and take a walk at Sakura no Sato, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Izu.  Here, you can bring your cherry blossom sweets and tea on a spring-like furoshiki cloth, and take a break while looking at the early-blooming cherry blossoms such as Kawazu, Ito, and Jogasaki.

The set is made for two people.  The price is 1,500 yen.  First come first serve.

10:20 KAI Anjin departure, 10:30 KAI Ito departure (via) – Sakura open bus tour – 12:40 KAI Anjin arrival, 12:50 KAI Ito arrival

Number of people: About 40 people (unreserved seats)

Reservation: Make a reservation below by noon the day before the boarding date. * If there is space on the day, you can accept it at the departure and arrival accommodation.

May be canceled due to the weather.

In rainy weather, please wear the raincoat distributed free of charge before boarding.  

*Umbrellas cannot be used.

During the tour, you may feel cold due to the constant wind. Please bring warm clothes.
