The Host Country Media Centre (HCMC) is a multipurpose and comprehensive venue, delivered by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, with media working spaces and facilities, TV/radio studios, a press conference room and offices. As is typical for a modern media center, it has several lounge receptive areas, full Wi-Fi connectivity options and courtesy Internet corners, as well as a variety of services, including food & beverage concessions and restaurant, live TV feed, information and support desks.
The HCMC occupies two levels of building U07 and partially of building U06. A spacious media working area on the first floor is equipped with desks and chairs. There is also a lounge area with sofas and armchairs to watch football on big screens.
The HCMC is located in the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, next to the iconic street market Souq Waqif and less than a mile away from the magnificent palace of Amiri Diwan and the famous waterfront promenade called Corniche.
