Veeo, Inc. is gearing up to release its cutting-edge Holodeck T30 presentation station this summer. The T30 boasts a high-def video camera cleverly positioned behind an LG transparent-OLED screen, allowing the presenter to face the audience directly. In its inactive state, the Holodeck T30 resembles a double-pane window on a stand, but when activated, the 30” transparent-OLED screen overlays content from a connected computer around a clear image of the presenter, ensuring constant eye contact.

Equipped with AI capabilities, the Holodeck T30 not only maintains image quality but also incorporates hand tracking and gesture recognition. This means that sketches or annotations can appear on the screen seamlessly, creating a magical effect as the hand movements stay hidden from participants.

Veeo CEO Ji Shen draws a comparison to the technology seen in the movie Minority Report, where Tom Cruise interacts with computer elements using hand gestures on a glass wall. Shen highlights that Veeo is making similar technology accessible to everyone in the summer of 2024, and you won’t need to be Tom Cruise to use it.

In the pipeline for summer 2024 are three Veeo products: the Holodeck M30 (around $2500) with a 30” screen and an enclosed case, the Holodeck T30 (around $3,000) featuring an unenclosed 30” clear glass panel with gesture recognition, and the Holodeck T55 (around $8,500) offering an unenclosed 55” clear glass screen suitable for conference rooms.

These products are currently showcased as prototypes at CES 2024, utilizing LG transparent OLED technology to seamlessly blend live presenter video with computer graphics and whiteboard annotations on a glass surface.
