The entertainment powerhouse MARQUEE Singapore will celebrate its 4th anniversary weekend this April with a lineup of Korean top stars, including PSY and RAIN, who will be making their debut performance at MARQUEE Elysian as part of the Sands Live series.
The three-day extravaganza will also mark the launch of Oh-K!, a new series showcasing the best of South Korean entertainment. PSY and RAIN, supported by Korean performance group MUSIUS, will take center stage on Saturday, April 8th for a three-song showcase. In addition to their appearance at MARQUEE, the two Asian megastars will also perform at an exclusive private event for VIP guests and premium customers at Marina Bay Sands over the same weekend. The Sands Live series is an expanded initiative from Marina Bay Sands’ original concert series, bringing top entertainment acts and the biggest stars from Asia and beyond across venues and presentation styles.
PSY, a Korean artist, is a rapper, singer, record producer, and songwriter, who gained worldwide recognition with his viral hit “Gangnam Style,” which is widely regarded as the biggest single in his illustrious career. He has received numerous accolades and Guinness World Records for this international sensation. His success has made him the first K-pop artist to establish South Korean pop music on the global stage, breaking into the Western music industry. PSY’s last appearance at Marina Bay Sands was in 2012, and he will be returning after 11 years to deliver a thrilling performance for fans during the MARQUEE Anniversary celebration.
The accomplished artist RAIN, known for his success in both music and acting, is considered one of the greatest icons in K-pop. He previously performed at Marina Bay Sands in 2014 and gained global fame when his third album sold over a million copies in Asia. His contributions to the entertainment industry have earned him numerous awards and recognition, including being named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine.
MARQUEE Elysian’s theme will transport guests to a fantastical realm illuminated by neon lights, where they can explore a mythical world beyond their wildest imagination. The celebrations will begin on April 6 with Timmy Trumpet, renowned for his live trumpet performances and dance tracks, and will be followed by MaRLo on April 7, who will bring his mesmerizing trance hits to the dance floor. The three-day extravaganza will conclude with a grand birthday celebration featuring performances by PSY and RAIN.
