On Thursday, August 17th, at 3:00 PM ET, Tamika Scott, an accomplished actress, author, and a member of the multi-platinum R&B group XSCAPE, made her way to Times Square’s RiseNY. Her visit had a special purpose – to deliver a live performance of the summer 2023 hit “Tonight,” featuring Method Man, which had earned a place on the Billboard charts.

With a career spanning over three decades, both Tamika Scott and XSCAPE have collectively sold over 10 million records worldwide. Their repertoire includes hit singles like “Understanding,” “Who Can I Run To,” and “The Arms of the One Who Loves You,” among others. Tamika Scott’s name is most synonymous with her role in the highly successful R&B group Xscape, where she contributed both lead vocals and harmonies. Following XSCAPE’s dissolution in late 1998, Tamika chose a relatively quieter public life. However, she did release a solo track titled “Day & Night,” which found its audience in Japan in July 1999. Beyond her musical talents, Tamika ventured into production, notably penning and producing “All I Need,” a track hailed by The Source as one of the standout songs on the album “Traces Of My Lipstick.”
