Over time, they became one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands in history. In today’s diverse and ever-changing rock landscape, the Eagles maintain an enduring appeal that transcends both generations and genres, solidifying their status as enduring musical icons.
The Eagles have achieved remarkable milestones, selling over 150 million albums worldwide, with six #1 albums and five chart-topping singles. They have been honored with six GRAMMY Awards, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 during their first year of eligibility, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977 stands as the best-selling album in history, certified 38-times Platinum by the RIAA. Additionally, Hotel California ranks as the third best-selling U.S. album of all time, certified 26-times Platinum since its 1976 release, and earned two GRAMMY Awards for the singles “New Kid In Town” and “Hotel California.”
