AREA15 announces August Entertainment, Events and Openings.  AREA15 is open to the public at 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. Admission to AREA15 is free and will be limited to guests ages 21 and older after 10 p.m. every day.

Virtualis VR

Description:  Joining AREA15’s lineup of immersive experiences, Virtualis VR provides advanced large-scale virtual reality available. Powered by the latest full-body tracking, VR technologies and 4D effects such as wind, heat and scent, users can immerse into new worlds in ways they’ve never experienced before. With two arenas over 2,000 square feet each, Virtualis VR offers everything from intense team survival to exploration and player vs. player experiences in a fully untethered, free-roam environment with simultaneous play for groups up to 10. Virtualis VR is located on the northeast corner of the mezzanine level inside AREA15.

Cost: Tickets starting at $55.

Kappa Toys Pop-Up

Description: New to AREA15 is Kappa Toys, a design-minded toy store. With a wide selection of never-before-seen oddities combined with a carefully curated selection of nostalgic classics, this special edition Kappa Toys Glow location is dedicated to illuminated playthings for youngsters and the young at heart, from lava lamps to glow in the dark stars.

Live in the A-Lot: MAKJ

Date: Saturday, Aug. 7

Time: Doors at 9 p.m. Show starts at 10 pm.

Cost: Early bird tickets are $10; general admission is $15. Description: Mackenzie Johnson, better known by his stage name MAKJ, will perform live in the 32,000-square-foot, outdoor A-Lot. The American DJ and music producer has released numerous singles as a solo artist since 2012, as well as a variety of collaborative singles with artists such as Hardwell, Lil’ Jon and M35. This show is open for guests 21 years of age or older. 

Live in the A-Lot: Supernova Tour 

Date: Saturday, Aug. 14

Time: Doors at 9 p.m. Show starts at 10 pm. 

Cost: Early bird tickets for ages 21+ are $20; general admission for ages 21+ is $25; general admission for ages 18-20 is $30. Description: AREA15 presents “Supernova Tour” featuring 12th Planet. One of the foremost pioneers in the global electronic music scene for more than a decade, DJ and producer 12th Planet brings his Supernova Tour to AREA15’s 32,000-square-foot, outdoor A-Lot with support from Aweminus, Guppi and OG Nixin.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 21

Time: Doors at 9 p.m. Show starts at 10 pm.

Cost: Early bird tickets for ages 18-20 are $25; general admission for ages 21+ is $25; general admission for ages 18-20 is $30. 

Description: AREA15 and Beatclan present GETTER. After the launch of his own clothing line Trippy Burger, the creation of his own record label “Shred Collective” and consistent tours worldwide, GETTER is bringing his wonky synths, booming bass, and mind-bending multi-genre sounds to the A-Lot stage. Guests can expect the unexpected as GETTER expands into a new realm of artistry and pushes himself as a creative.

Live in the A-Lot: Breathe Carolina

Date: Saturday, Aug. 28

Time: Doors at 9 p.m. Show starts at 10 pm.

Cost: Early bird tickets are $20; general admission is $25. 

Description:  Electronic duo Breathe Carolina will perform their best hits under the stars in the 32,000-square-foot, outdoor A-Lot. With YouTube videos with more than 150 million views and official remixes for David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Sean Paul and Pitbull, Breathe Carolina brings the mash-up attitude into electronic dance music. The show is 18 years or older.

Draganza: A Fierce Variety Show

Date: Friday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 13

Time: Shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Doors open a half-hour before the show begins. 

Cost: General admission tickets are $30; V.I.Queen Meet and Greet tickets are available for $45 which include general admission seating and one photo with one of the Queens performing in the show; VIP table packages are available and require a $300 beverage minimum. 

Description: Draganza is Las Vegas’ newest and fiercest drag variety show featuring a rotating cast of the city’s most fabulous queens including Alexis Mateo, Coco Montrese, Des’ree D. St. James and many more. Guests can join the queens every Friday in The Portal, AREA15’s 360-degree projection-mapped entertainment space, for a night of epic lip syncs, celebrity impersonations, surprise performances, friendly audience competition, drink specials and more. Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid ID required upon check-in.

AREA15 x Soul State: Afterhours Saturdays

Dates: Every Saturday night

Time: 11:59 p.m. 

Cost: Limited guest list space available, tickets start at $20.

Description: Curated by Las Vegas collective, Soul State, and featuring the very best in underground dance music culture, Afterhours Saturdays will take you on a journey of eclectic sounds ranging from house to techno to disco and beyond. Guests will enter the Portal and dance until the early morning with up-and-coming DJs in a fully projection-mapped environment.

AREA15 Industry Night

Dates: Every Monday 

Time: 10 p.m. to closing 

Description: Feel the beats from a variety of DJs on the decks and underneath the glow of Oddwood. Industry locals will enjoy a 25 percent discount on activations, experiences and libations inside AREA15 with a local I.D. every Monday night. Discounts during Industry Night include Wink World: Portals Into The Infinite, Museum Fiasco, Five Iron Golf, Dueling Axes as well as food and drinks at The Beast by Todd English and Oddwood Bar.

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Date: Throughout the month of August 

Time: 12 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 12 to 2 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays. Ticket times are every half hour.

Description: On view through fall, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a timed experience encompassing 35 minutes and mapped specifically to fit the nearly 7,000-square-foot Portal. Guests take an awe-inspiring journey into the incomparable universe of Van Gogh, one of the greatest artistic geniuses of the 19th century. Explore his life, his work, and his secrets as never before through cutting-edge 360-degree digital projections, a one-of-a-kind VR experience, and a uniquely atmospheric light and sound show. The exhibition is brought to you by the organizers of a collection of widely successful exhibitions present in cities across Europe, Asia and the Americas. General admission tickets include lounge seating where guests are enveloped in sensational artistry, while VIP tickets include VR goggles to experience “A Day in the Life of the Artist in Arles, France,” a virtual stroll alongside Van Gogh himself to explore the countryside settings that inspired his artwork.

Cost: General admission adult tickets are $39.50; seniors 65 years and older and military are $31; children 12 years and under are $19.  VIP adult tickets are $49.50; seniors 65 years and older and military are $41; children 12 years and under are $29. Discounts are available for Nevada residents with valid I.D. 

Sunflowers & Rosé: A Guided Painting Experience

Date: Aug. 12 and 26 

Time: 3 p.m. 

Cost: $60 per person

Description:  Guests will explore their own creative side by following along with expert art instructor Kim Bavington for a two-and-a-half-hour Van Gogh-inspired painting session inside Sanctuary. “Sunflowers & Rosé” includes a guided painting tutorial, one glass of rosé or one mimosa per person, followed by a showing of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience — plus a beautiful, handmade painting guests can take home with them. This event is recommended for ages 12 and older. Alcoholic beverages will only be served to participants 21 years of age or older with a valid ID.
