On the third floor of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a wood-framed door waits behind tinted fluted glass. Amber drapery softens the view, stained glass catches the light, and for a moment, it feels like you have stumbled onto a hidden corner store in downtown Manhattan. That is exactly the point.
On November 9, The Corner Store, the breakout SoHo sensation from Tilman Fertitta, Eugene Remm and the Catch Hospitality Group team, opens its Las Vegas doors. Led by Chef Michael Vignola, it marks the restaurant’s first expansion beyond New York and its highly anticipated West Coast debut. Reservations are open now, so food lovers planning a Las Vegas trip can secure a table ahead of opening.
Why The Corner Store Matters
The Corner Store built its reputation in SoHo on a simple idea: take the American classics people already love and treat every ingredient with care. The result is familiar comfort, elevated with precision, served in a room that feels like a neighborhood spot with a little extra glamour. In Las Vegas, that same spirit meets the scale and sparkle of The Cosmopolitan, creating a destination for anyone who wants to dine well, drink thoughtfully and linger a little longer.
The Menu: Elevated American Classics, Ingredient First
Under the leadership of Chef Vignola, in collaboration with The Corner Store Las Vegas Executive Chef Daniel Bernardo, the menu champions an ingredient-first approach to elevated American classics. Think nostalgic comfort food, reimagined with a fine dining sensibility.
Start with the Lobster & Caviar Rolls, where lobster and caviar meet a bright tarragon-celery remoulade. Follow with the Five Cheese Pizza Rolls, served with a cool dunk of whipped ranch that feels like a nod to childhood snacking. The Corner Store Caesar takes a playful turn with everything bagel croutons for crunch and cream cheese croquettes for a rich, creamy surprise.
Then comes the Wagyu French Dip, a standout on the menu. It spotlights a Westholme Australian ribeye that is slow-roasted for 72 hours, a patient process built for deep flavor. It is made for dipping, sharing and savoring.
Exclusive to Las Vegas: An Expanded Butcher’s Counter
Las Vegas guests get something the New York original does not offer. An expanded selection of premium meats and hand-cut steaks from The Butcher’s Counter is exclusive to this location, anchored by the Rosewood Ranch Wagyu Tomahawk and the Wagyu Porterhouse. These are showstopping cuts, ideal for a celebratory night out.
Around them, the menu offers seasonal crudos, market-driven salads and larger-format shared plates. The approach is vibrant and communal, tailored to the way people dine in Las Vegas: passing plates, trading bites and making the meal an event.
The Martini Program: Where the Night Begins
If the kitchen is the heart of The Corner Store, the Martini is its soul. The same attention to detail, precision and ingredient-led philosophy found in the kitchen carries through to the cocktail program, where the Martini once again sits at the center. The program is led by Lucas Robinson, Catch Hospitality Group Beverage Director, in partnership with Gedeon Tsegaye, Head of Mixology at The Cosmopolitan.
SoHo favorites make the journey west, including the Tomato Martini and the playful Sour Cream & Onion Martini. New creations made exclusively for Las Vegas join them, including a Vegas-inspired take on Oli’s Dirty Martini, served with a trio of mascarpone caviar olives.
Behind the bar, house-made ingredients and premium spirits are elevated through techniques such as infusion, cryovac, sous vide, milk washing and oil washing. The result is a cocktail list that rewards curiosity. For groups, the signature Martini Service offers a large-format pour designed to serve two to three guests, perfect for toasting at the table.
The Wine List
Wine lovers have plenty to explore. The thoughtfully curated list was developed by Catch Hospitality Group Wine Director Emily Buse, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top 50 sommeliers in the U.S., together with Douglas Kim, Master Sommelier and Executive Director of Wine for MGM Resorts.
The Design: A Hidden New York Corner Store, Reimagined
Designed by Rockwell Group, the visionary firm behind the SoHo original, the Las Vegas restaurant translates the warmth and lived-in character of a classic New York neighborhood spot to the grand scale and glamour of The Cosmopolitan.
Rather than sitting along a traditional streetscape, the restaurant is elevated on the resort’s third floor and reveals itself through an intimate storefront designed to capture the intrigue of a hidden New York corner store. Wood-framed doors and tinted fluted glass anchor a dramatic façade layered with amber drapery, illuminated stained-glass artwork and Art Deco-inspired accents.
Inside, the experience unfolds across a sequence of distinct yet interconnected spaces, rich with burl wood, antique mirrors, marble, velvet and warm vintage lighting. Guests begin at the classic main bar, then move into the Martini Room, centered around a striking green onyx bar. From there, the journey continues to the main dining room, whose design channels the romance of vintage train cars. Tailored banquettes, herringbone wood floors, arched architectural details and a curated gallery of New York City photography connect the space to the downtown edge and nostalgia of the SoHo original.
Private Dining
For birthdays, celebrations and group gatherings, a dedicated private dining room sits adjacent to the main dining area and accommodates up to 24 guests. Golden plaster, polished burl wood and layered lighting set the scene, and a flexible partition can divide the room into two more intimate spaces, so the setting can adapt to the size of the occasion.
A Growing Partnership
The opening of The Corner Store at The Cosmopolitan expands the collaboration between MGM Resorts and Catch Hospitality Group. The two companies first partnered to open CATCH at ARIA Resort & Casino in 2018.
How to Enjoy Your Visit
Come early for a Martini at the main bar, then move into the Martini Room for a second round beside the green onyx. At the table, share the Lobster & Caviar Rolls and Five Cheese Pizza Rolls to start, then pass the Wagyu French Dip around for everyone to taste. If you are celebrating, the Wagyu Tomahawk from The Butcher’s Counter makes a memorable centerpiece, and a Martini Service for the table keeps the toasts going.
