From January 7–10, 2025, Shenzhen EngineAI Robotics debuted at CES 2025, presenting its advanced humanoid robots: SE01, SA01, and PM01. These robots provide a versatile platform for developers and researchers to enhance interactions with the physical world. The SA01 and PM01, designed as open-source platforms, promote innovation in embodied intelligence, making them ideal for research, education, and development applications.

Driving the Future of Humanoid Robotics
EngineAI Robotics, led by founder and CEO Zhao Tongyang, is committed to advancing general-purpose humanoid robots and accelerating embodied intelligence. The company aims to produce over 1,000 scalable and competitively priced units by the end of 2025.

Zhao, a seasoned robotics entrepreneur, has contributed to key industry milestones. In 2016, he founded Dogotix, pioneering humanoid robot development in China. By 2020, he launched a market-leading quadruped robot and later co-founded XPENG Robotics, where he developed the PX5 humanoid robot. After PX5’s success at NVIDIA’s GTC 2024, Zhao established EngineAI in early 2023, securing nearly 100 million yuan (USD 13.64 million) in angel funding and unveiling the SE01 in October 2024.

SE01: Advanced Industrial Humanoid Robot
The SE01 represents EngineAI’s first full-size humanoid robot, designed for industrial applications. It features high load capacity and excels in tasks such as heavy lifting and precision assembly in complex factory settings. Key technologies include harmonic force control joints, deep reinforcement learning, imitation learning algorithms, and end-to-end neural network models. SE01’s natural gait and fluid movements enhance work efficiency and precision. Standing at 170cm and weighing 55kg, it performs actions like running, push-ups, and squatting, with athletic capabilities comparable to international athletes.

SA01: A Customizable Robot for Research and Education
The SA01 is designed for academic and research use, providing an open-source, highly customizable bipedal platform. Weighing 40kg, it performs advanced actions like running and jumping while maintaining energy efficiency, consuming less than 200W during walking. Built with durable aluminum alloy, the SA01 ensures system rigidity and impact resistance, making it a reliable choice for educational and research settings. Priced at USD 5,400, the SA01 offers affordability and functionality, meeting strong market demand with scaled production.

PM01: A Lightweight and Dynamic Embodied Robot
The PM01 is EngineAI’s latest addition, designed for flexibility and high performance in research and commercial applications. Standing at 138cm and weighing 40kg, it supports both mechanical and humanoid natural gait modes. Enhanced features include added degrees of freedom in the neck and waist for improved flexibility, an interactive core screen, and advanced dynamic performance. The PM01 enables seamless cross-platform algorithm deployment, making it ideal for diverse development needs. Priced at USD 13,700, it is available in commercial and educational editions with promotional upgrades until March 31, 2025.

Shaping the Future of Embodied Intelligence
EngineAI Robotics is dedicated to advancing embodied intelligence through innovation-driven solutions. By refining its product lineup and fostering ecosystems for training professional AI models, the company is contributing to the evolution of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and the next generation of robotics.
