Fear Comes to Life at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood from September 1 to November 4 and September 7 to October 31, respectively. The destinations have revealed thrilling new haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights, including “The Exorcist: Believer,” inspired by the film from Blumhouse and Morgan Creek Entertainment, “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count” based on the popular USA & SYFY series, and “Universal Monsters: Unmasked,” drawing inspiration from Universal’s iconic cinematic monsters.

The horror experience commences at Universal Orlando Resort on September 1 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 7. Here’s a glimpse of what visitors can expect:

In “The Exorcist: Believer,” based on Universal Pictures’ horror film, guests find themselves in a bustling Haitian street market after purchasing a peculiar folk doll with three eyes. This seemingly innocent act leads to the opening of a demonic portal, awakening sinister spirits, and the disappearance of two 12-year-old girls. The girls are later found, but they display unsettling behavior. Only an exorcism can save them, putting everyone they come into contact with at risk of losing their souls.

“Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count” features the killer doll Chucky as the star of his own haunted house for the first time. Fed up with being disrespected, Chucky sets out on a sadistic quest to turn his haunted house into a living slaughterhouse, targeting anyone who enters.

Descending sixty feet below the bustling streets of Paris, guests enter the dank Catacombs where millions of skeletal remains and sinister secrets await. In the haunted house “Universal Monsters: Unmasked,” The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and The Invisible Man await their revenge against visitors after the Catacombs open to the public. Filled with rage, these creatures hunt and terrorize guests in the dark underground labyrinth.

At Universal Orlando Resort, the much-awaited Halloween Horror Nights for 2023 is set to deliver spine-chilling thrills and terror. This year, guests will be treated to a variety of new haunted houses and scare zones, promising a record-breaking 48 nights of hair-raising experiences that can only be found at this premier Halloween event.

Among the five all-new original haunted houses, guests will confront the dark intentions of the evil ringmaster in “Dr. Oddfellow: Twisted Origins,” experience a sinister battle between Fire and Ice in “Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate,” and encounter bloodthirsty monsters in “YETI: Campground Kills.” Additionally, they can delve into the sinister consequences of fame in “The Darkest Deal” and face a colonial cult with deadly intentions in “Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings.”

As the sun sets, the streets of Universal Studios Florida will be filled with hordes of taunting scareactors in five unnerving scare zones. Dr. Oddfellow himself will emerge from the past to offer immortality in “Dr. Oddfellow’s Collection of Horror,” and the zodiac signs will come to life as horrifying creatures in “Dark Zodiac.” Guests will venture into the “Jungle of Doom: Expedition Horror” to face twisted jungle creatures and witness bloodthirsty vampires crashing a music festival in “Vamp ’69: Summer of Blood.” They will also encounter escaped monsters seeking chaos in “Shipyard 32: Horrors Unhinged.”

New spine-chilling experiences include the show “Nightmare Fuel Revenge Dream,” where guests will witness a new dreamer confronting her terrifying nightmares. The all-new Tribute Store will transport visitors into the pages of a horrifying comic book with “Tribute to Terror.” The Red Coconut Club will transform into the Dead Coconut Club, offering a new theme and menu for a macabre nightlife experience.

For food enthusiasts, a monstrous menu of all-new food and beverage items will be available, such as Bloody Campground Poutine, El Pastor Torta, Sour Apple Pie Funnel Fries, and fan-favorites like Pizza Fries. The Peacock’s Halloween Horror Bar will also offer themed libations and photo opportunities in a haunting nightclub setting.

Guests can get a taste of the event’s killer food and beverage items before the official opening through “Taste of Terror,” available on select nights from August 10 to August 26.
