The iconic British duo Tears For Fears is headed to Las Vegas this fall with Songs for a Nervous Planet, an exclusive three-night live event at the BleauLive Theater inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The performances are scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 8 p.m.

Tears For Fears, consisting of Roland Orzabal (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Curt Smith (vocals, bass, keyboards), was formed in Bath, England, in 1981. Having sold 30 million albums worldwide, performing to countless sold-out audiences, and winning various awards, the band embodies a unique blend of pop appeal, insightful lyricism, powerful guitar work, and new wave innovation.

Their 1983 debut album, The Hurting, produced anthems such as “Mad World,” “Change,” and “Pale Shelter,” achieving RIAA Gold status in the United States. The 1985 release Songs from the Big Chair marked a pivotal moment for the group and for music in general. Featuring the BRIT Award-winning “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” as well as “Shout,” “Head over Heels,” “Mothers Talk,” and “I Believe (A Soulful Re-Recording),” the album went quintuple platinum and reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200.

After 1989’s Seeds of Love, Orzabal and Smith didn’t collaborate again until 2004’s Everybody Loves a Happy Ending, which reignited their creative spark. From 2010, they embarked on a three-year whirlwind tour across North America, Japan, South Korea, Manila, and South America. In 2013, the band introduced a cover of Arcade Fire’s “Ready to Start,” and in 2017, they released Rule The World, a best-of album collection that once again propelled them to the top of the UK album charts.

Early access pre-sale for these limited dates begins on Tuesday, August 20, at 10 a.m. PT with a fan pre-sale.

Citi is the official card for Tears For Fears’ exclusive Las Vegas engagement at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, August 20, at 12 p.m. PT through Thursday, August 22, at 10 p.m. PT via the Citi Entertainment program. Full pre-sale details are available at citientertainment.com.

Additional pre-sales will continue throughout the week, with general ticket sales starting Friday, August 23, at 10 a.m. PT on tearsforfears.com.

This exclusive run of shows follows The Tipping Point World Tour and The Tipping Point Tour Part II, a global tour spanning 2022 and 2023 that featured iconic performances at Madison Square Garden in New York and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. These tours supported the release of The Tipping Point, the band’s first studio album in seventeen years, which debuted in late February 2022 to critical and commercial success. Outlets such as Pitchfork, Vulture, and Stereogum named it one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
