Netflix is setting a new benchmark for K-unscripted entertainment at Korea’s Unscripted Festival, highlighting the genre’s rapid evolution and global cultural impact. From September 2025 through February 2026, the streamer is rolling out an ambitious “non-stop variety show slate,” launching at least one major unscripted title every month.
Kicking off the lineup on September 23 is Crime Scene Zero, a legendary role-playing mystery game show where every celebrity doubles as suspect and detective. PARK SUNG WOONG and Joo Hyun Young lead the guest lineup, promising high-stakes psychological battles, shocking twists, and clever mind games.
October ramps up the intensity with Physical: Asia, the next evolution of fan-favorite Physical: 100. National teams from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines go head-to-head in extreme challenges for pride and glory. Legendary boxing champion Manny Pacquiao leads Team Philippines, while additional global spin-offs are already in the works for the U.S. and Italy.
In November, Netflix collaborates with Nah Yung-suk’s acclaimed production crew for Three Idiots in Kenya, starring Lee Su-geun, Eun Ji-won, and KYUHYUN. The trio embarks on a comedic, unpredictable adventure across Kenya’s stunning landscapes, blending quick wit, playful banter, and heartfelt camaraderie.
December brings Culinary Class Wars Season 2, the global cooking competition that made history as the first Korean unscripted series to top Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV list for three consecutive weeks. With “Black Spoon” chefs taking on Korea’s top “White Spoon” stars in intense culinary battles, the season promises an immersive, sensory-rich experience that pushes K-cooking survival to the next level.
2026 kicks off with the return of fan-favorite Single’s Inferno Season 5 in January. On a remote island, singles must pair up—or risk staying stranded. With its largest cast yet, Season 5 promises more sizzling personalities, heated rivalries, and unpredictable romances.
February brings Agents of Mystery Season 2, Jung Jong-yeon’s hybrid adventure-mystery, featuring Lee Yong-jin, John Park, Lee Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, KARINA, and new team member Gabee. This season introduces upgraded equipment, enhanced missions, and an expanded universe of bizarre, unexplainable incidents. Meanwhile, production is already underway for The Devil’s Plan Season 3, continuing the high-stakes thrill ride from the acclaimed creator.
Netflix also expands its popular ‘guesthouse universe,’ with Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2 and Jae-seok’s B&B Rules! Kian84 returns with inventive hospitality and offbeat charm, while Yoo Jae-suk steps into a guesthouse owner role for the first time in his 34-year career. Over 55,000 teams applied to be guests, with roughly 3,500 interviews conducted, cementing Yoo Jae-suk’s enduring star power. Fans can also anticipate Better Late Than Single Season 2, offering more laughs and heartfelt stories of late-blooming love.
From mystery and survival to travel, romance, and comedy, Netflix’s unscripted lineup proves K-entertainment is bold, diverse, and boundary-pushing. The streamer continues to collaborate with legendary and emerging creators alike, expanding storytelling universes while keeping viewers hooked.
