In celebration of National Fried Chicken Day, the National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF), presented by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, has announced its return to the New Orleans Lakefront on October 5-6, 2024. The festival will introduce new experiences and opportunities for guests to enjoy the iconic Southern dish.

Since its inception in 2016, the festival has featured a wide variety of food offerings from over 45 participating restaurants, all-day entertainment from world-renowned musicians and celebrity chefs across four stages. The seventh edition of FCF will debut a new tiered pricing structure and reimagined ticketed experiences for those 21 and over, along with several new initiatives to support local youth.

This year’s VIP offerings include a reimagined multi-lounge VIP ticket, allowing guests to move freely between two luxurious lounges at each of the main music stages, and an unlimited Beer Garden ticket with an open beer bar throughout the day. FCF will implement a new tiered pricing structure for all ticket options, with early bird tickets going on sale today and prices increasing incrementally in the lead-up to the festival.

General Admission tickets, available today as a special National Fried Chicken Day promotion, start at $5. Upgrade options include the unlimited Beer Garden for $39 and the VIP lounges for $79.

FCF has announced several new sponsored initiatives to support local youth, reflecting its commitment to the New Orleans community. The festival will host a STEM Saturday with STEM NOLA, presented by Entergy, offering 100 children from the area the chance to participate in STEM experiments with STEM NOLA founder Dr. Calvin Mackie.
This event, taking place before the gates open on October 5, will be free of charge thanks to Entergy’s contribution.

Building on its reputation as one of the U.S.’s leading food-focused events, FCF will continue to showcase New Orleans as a premier culinary destination through its dynamic restaurant lineup, tasting competitions, and the return of the HEINZ® “Food is Culture” Stage. This stage will feature cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, and more with some of the nation’s best-known celebrity chefs and culinary thought leaders.

Additionally, attendees can choose from three music stages at the festival, including the return of Cane’s Square, which will offer DJs, games, prizes, and special performances throughout the weekend.
