Next summer, vacationers will have the opportunity to celebrate their weekends in an unprecedented way. Royal Caribbean International has unveiled Utopia of the Seas, the ultimate 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaway. As the first ship of the Oasis Class to offer short getaways upon its debut, this new addition to the world of vacations promises to create more memories in a single trip than ever before.

Utopia will set sail from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, starting July 2024, offering over 40 dining and drinking options, an abundance of pools, thrilling and relaxing activities, and much more at Perfect Day at CocoCay – Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas. The island will also introduce Hideaway Beach, an adults-only destination scheduled to open in early 2024.

Utopia’s signature adventures will make their debut alongside a range of first-time experiences and reimagined offerings. Vacationers can look forward to a new Caribbean tiki bar, an immersive dining experience, the longest dry slide at sea, redesigned resort-style pools, and more. Bookings for Utopia will be available on Royal Caribbean’s website starting Friday, June 23, with Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members having the opportunity to book a day earlier, on Thursday, June 22.

Whether guests prefer lounging by the pool or relaxing on the beach, they will find both options available on this ultimate getaway. Utopia’s five pools offer a variety of vibes, from energetic to laid-back. The action centers around three pools and three Lime & Coconut bars. Vacationers can enjoy high-speed waterslides at The Perfect Storm, while young children can have fun at Splashaway Bay. Those seeking relaxation can soak up the sun while listening to live island tunes and indulge in quick and casual bites from a new poolside food truck offering handheld favorites. For Mexican-inspired street food and drinks, El Loco Fresh and Cantina Fresca are nearby.

Adults looking for a tranquil retreat can recharge in the Solarium, which features its own pool, whirlpools, a bar, daybeds, and breathtaking ocean views at the Solarium Bistro. The Suite Sun Deck, located in the exclusive Suite Neighborhood, provides a private oasis with a pool, daybeds, loungers, umbrellas, and a stunning bird’s-eye view of the ocean.

For those seeking adventure, Utopia offers an array of record-breaking thrills. From the exhilarating Ultimate Abyss, now 43 feet longer at 259 feet and featuring new zoom booster rollers and transparent racing windows, to the 10-story-high zip line, the signature FlowRider surf simulator, mini golf at AquaDunes, and the Utopia Playscape for young children, there are adventures suited for everyone in the group.

A World Tour of Flavors With more than 20 dining options, every type of vacationer can embark on a culinary journey around the world while exploring various islands in The Bahamas.

Immersive dining experience – A unique and yet-to-be-revealed dining experience will take guests on a locomotive journey that engages all the senses, combining multiple courses, technology, and different destinations and storylines.

Izumi and Izumi in the Park – Izumi, a beloved Royal Caribbean establishment, will now be located in the new Central Park area, offering convenient access to fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired sweets. Adjacent to it is a revamped Izumi restaurant, featuring double the teppanyaki tables and new outdoor seating.

Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar – This popular Italian eatery has expanded to two stories, serving authentic Italian dishes, a selection of wines, and classic cocktails with a twist. Guests can also enjoy the new outdoor terrace, Gio’s Terrazza, which offers a view of the signature Boardwalk.

Other returning favorites include The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, which pairs live country music with southern comfort food, Windjammer, a buffet-style restaurant offering a wide variety of international dishes, Hooked Seafood, and Chops Grille, now connected to the signature Trellis Bar.

When it comes to entertainment and nightlife, Utopia offers over 20 bars and entertainment venues, two casinos, live music spots, and captivating shows, ensuring that guests are never far from their next celebratory moment.

Pesky Parrot – This new Caribbean-themed bar on the Royal Promenade serves fruity cocktails made with rum, tequila, gin, and frozen drinks, providing a slice of laidback paradise.

Casino Royale – Two casinos offer an exciting array of more than 370 slot machines and nearly 30 table games for guests to try their luck.

Live music – Utopia boasts five live music venues catering to different tastes, including Spotlight Karaoke, Boleros, a Latin hotspot, Music Hall, where guests can rock out to cover bands, Bell & Barley, an English pub with a live guitarist, and Schooner Bar, a classic piano bar.

Showstopping entertainment – The ship’s original production shows take center stage, featuring breathtaking performances in the air, on ice, in water, and in the theater. Guests can witness high diving, slacklining, and acrobatics at the AquaTheater, marvel at ice-skating feats at Studio B, and enjoy theatrical productions at the Royal Theater.

In addition to its impressive offerings, the ultimate 3- and 4-night getaway on Utopia will make a significant impact as the first Oasis Class ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest-burning marine fuel available. Building upon Royal Caribbean’s commitment to the environment, Utopia combines LNG technology with the brand’s existing environmentally friendly initiatives and features, including waste heat recovery systems and shore power connection, further advancing the cruise line’s sustainability efforts.
