Ferragamo’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection was unveiled on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Milan, Italy. Maximilian Davis focused on the dress code of Italians, who enjoyed fashion and lifestyle at their own pace, and the dress code of the Caribbean, which embraced a relaxed mood. While finding similarities between the two, he also featured Arte Povera, an art movement that emerged in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. The collection aimed to develop a comfortable and relaxing collection, drawing inspiration from the contrasts of this art movement that combined everyday natural materials and man-made objects and elevated them to art.

The collection featured cool materials typical of spring and summer, such as linen and cotton, which were seen here and there. The flowing silhouette of the cape was lined with glossy satin for an elegant accent. The dresses were made from soft materials that fluttered as the models walked, and they were paired with hard leather to accentuate their light appearance.

Attention was also given to the bright and fresh colors inserted into the basic colors. The combination of pink and red dresses with organic lines gave them an active impression. The looks, which featured bright green in monochrome colors, created a light rhythm in the collection.

The shoes also conveyed a relaxing impression, with sandals adorned with T-straps decorated with beads and stones, as well as sandals with delicate straps on the upper. Ferragamo’s new iconic bag, the “Hug,” was now available in a canvas and leather version perfect for the season’s mood, along with a new iridescent pouch style.
