Candeo Hotels Kyoto Karasuma Rokkaku is now open. Candeo Hotels Kyoto Karasuma Rokkaku is a redesigned of a traditional townhouse, a cultural property registered by Kyoto City. It was built in the Meiji era by a local resident who was running a kimono shop for generations.
Candeo Hotels has completed the renovation for the accommodations while retaining the original tatami space and courtyard.
The hotel consists of three buildings: a reception building, a guest room building, and the spa building.
The guest room building, which consists of 106 rooms, has a modern appearance by incorporating Western-style designs such as marble colors, pink bronze details while taking advantage of the characteristic straight lines of Japanese-style architecture.
Amenities include yukata, hair dryer, free wi-fi, electric kettle, refrigerator, etc. At the hotel you can rent the following: humidifier, iron & ironing board, cooling pad, mobile charger, conversion plug, and desk lamp.
For breakfast, the hotel serves four seasons of Kyoto in bento box style. This is only available for guests who have booked a breakfast plan. Breakfast plan is available until 22:00 two days prior to check-in. Reservations made on the day before or the day of check-in will not be accepted. Breakfast is available at Kyo-machiya Lounge, 2nd floor.
The Kyo-machiya Lounge which is formerly Ban family residence, designed in a traditional Kyoto style house. At the lounge, you will find a library that is open 24 hours, serving coffee and tea. Over the courtyard side, the lounge bar serves wine where you can relax on tatami mats.
Spa
In the large communal bath building, there is an outdoor hot spring where you can feel the outside air as the wind blows through. The men’s bath is equipped with a dry sauna and a cold bath, and the women’s bath is equipped with a mist sauna.
The sauna is open from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. From 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. the sauna will be closed.

After exiting the south exit of the ticket gate, go to Exit 6. Once you are on the ground, please turn right (south direction) and go straight for about 200 meters. When you see the sign “六角通 (Rokkaku-dori)”, turn right. After about 50 meters, the hotel will be on your left.
