After undergoing an extensive redesign and refurbishment, the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort has reopened. The resort is located in the Algarve region of Southern Portugal, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and next to the Vilamoura Marina. The refurbishment has introduced a contemporary and sophisticated new look to the guest rooms, the entrance lobby, and The Argo Cocktail Bar. Additionally, the gardens have been newly landscaped with a redesigned pool.

The design of the 383 guest rooms, including 21 suites, is inspired by the Algarvian beaches, the marina, and the Atlantic Ocean. Soft beige tones, striped fabrics, and natural materials have been used to reflect the views and create a relaxed atmosphere. The 527 sq ft. family rooms have an exterior lounge area and terrace, combining wood with sand-colored textures and rattan finishes. The rooms also feature sophisticated table lamps.

The Vilamoura Suite has also been revamped and now includes the choice of a VIP experience. This may include dinner for two at Pepper’s Steakhouse with beverages, an 80-minute treatment at Tivoli Spa, or sun loungers for two at the adjoining beach club – Purobeach – which is open between April and October.

Using a range of natural materials, including wood, fabrics, and textures in neutral tones mixed with nautical blues, the lobby of the hotel has been redesigned. The new design also includes a large tropical garden in the center, which brings the outside in and creates a more intimate atmosphere. The Glee Boutique Café has been given a makeover with a palette of natural tones, complementing the new look and feel of the lobby and better showcasing the pastries, chocolates, and colorful macarons.

The renewed “Voyage” restaurant, where breakfast is served, now has a sophisticated “French Riviera” style. The restaurant features vertical blue stripes, wooden chairs, and bamboo details mixed with floral and geometric patterns, paying homage to the Moorish influences typical in the south of Portugal.

The Argo Cocktail Bar has been made even more glamorous than before with richer tones, satin textures, and golden details. The balcony, which has a prime view over the marina, has new décor accentuating light woods and natural textures. This is just a step away from the hotel’s well-known restaurant, Pepper’s Steakhouse, which specializes in dishes using the best cuts of meat, accompanied by an impressive wine list.

The hotel-owning company, Azora, led the project for the refurbishment of Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, together with the interior architecture studio, Talasur Group.

The resort is conveniently located for access to numerous Algarve beaches, boat tours, golf courses, walking trails at Ria Formosa Natural Park, and cultural discoveries in Loulé town with local artisans and various arts like tile/dish painting, tapestry, or basketry. Tivoli Marina Vilamoura also features a 25,833 sq ft. Tivoli Spa where guests can indulge in exclusive face and body therapies with local organic ingredients.

As the Tivoli brand celebrates its 90th anniversary, the relaunch of a more glamorous Tivoli Marina Vilamoura reinforces the continuous values of the brand – timeless elegance and tradition. Throughout the year, 90th-anniversary events and special guest experiences will be revealed.
