Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s mobile app DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE released a special short video titled “Who is the GOAT!?” in New York’s Times Square on July 8th as part of its 9th Anniversary Campaign. DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE is a beat ’em up battle game featuring events and characters from Dragon Ball, played in over 170 countries. The game offers mesmerizing Super Attack animations with just a tap on the screen.
Players can explore the world of Dragon Ball through “Story Events,” which include both anime-based and original stories, and “Extreme Z Battle,” where players can challenge themselves to the limit. The special video showcases the battle animations of “Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power)” and “Super Saiyan God SS Gogeta” on a massive screen in New York.
Viewers are encouraged to post videos or images with the hashtag #Dokkan9thAnniv on X to celebrate the 9th Anniversary. The campaign runs from July 8, 2024, at 9:00 to July 14, 2024, at 10:59 EST (TBD).
Additionally, a web commercial celebrating the anniversary will be available on DOKKAN BATTLE’s social media and YouTube. It has been announced that starting from the Worldwide Campaign in late August, the schedules of the characters’ appearances will be unified between the Japanese and International Versions.
