Originally opened in 2004 and owned by Meydan City Corporation, Bab Al Shams has long been a favorite for those seeking a unique desert experience just 45 minutes from Dubai. With its close proximity to attractions like Al Qudra Lakes, the resort offers a peaceful retreat far from the city’s hustle, while still providing world-class amenities. Known as the “Gateway to the Sun,” Bab Al Shams features 115 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, along with exceptional dining and entertainment options.

The new Desert Pool Villas, inspired by Bedouin design, offer a minimalist yet luxurious take on desert living. With eight villas to choose from, available in one- and two-bedroom layouts, they cater to guests looking for an exclusive, serene getaway. Each villa offers private pools, expansive living areas, and stunning views of the desert, with large windows and open courtyards that blend the indoors with the outdoors. A unique circular ceiling design, complete with a skylight, bathes the space in natural light throughout the day, enhancing the sense of tranquility.

Guests staying in these villas will have access to a personal concierge who will ensure a tailored experience, from organizing private dinners to arranging bespoke desert adventures. Whether dining at Anwā, unwinding with a spa treatment, or exploring the desert through thrilling activities, guests can fully immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of the Arabian desert.
