Mickey’s Toontown
Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park will debut in early 2023. The neighborhood that Mickey & Friends call home will feature some all-new experiences and interactive play for visitors, with a focus on families and young children.
CenTOONial Park
One of the new areas coming to Mickey’s Toontown will be CenTOONial Park, which will greet guests right when they enter. This space will be anchored by two interactive play experiences.
At the center of CenTOONial Park will be a fountain, designed for play, which will also become an icon for Mickey’s Toontown. Interactive fountain features and water tables will allow children to play and have a sensory experience. At moments throughout the day, the fountain will be brought to life in a unique spectacle, and at night the lights will be especially vibrant.
A dreaming tree – inspired by one of Walt Disney used to dream under in his hometown – will feature sculpted tree roots, providing an opportunity for children to play, crawl and explore. Undulating topography will offer rolling hills and a place to sit and dream.
Te Fiti Scale Model – EPCOT – Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
The figure displayed here was created by a team of Imagineers to inform the creation of the full, 15’ tall Te Fiti that will be seen in Journey of Water, inspired by Moana. This figure is comprised of 3,200 individual pieces of scenic foliage and has over 180 feet of vines. The Imagineering team also worked with Walt Disney Animation Studios to finalize the size and pose of Te Fiti. Scale models were used to develop the color design of the figure, while digital models created by animators during the production of Moana were used to verify the smallest details.
Disney Wish Cruise Ship
Hank figure study maquette
This is a figure study of Hank, everyone’s favorite “septopus” from Disney and Pixar’s Finding Dory. It was used as a development tool for the recent revitalization of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland Park.
Castle finial maquettes
Castle finials adorn many of the spires on the Castle of Magical Dreams at Hong Kong Disneyland. Displayed here are finials representing Moana, Rapunzel and Mulan.
The Happy Ride with Baymax ride vehicle maquette
Vehicle maquettes are used by Imagineers to understand dimensionality, paint and finish. This vibrant vehicle from The Happy Ride with Baymax at Tokyo Disneyland, takes guests on a wild musical adventure created by the young inventor Hiro Hamada.
Quinjet model
This model served as a reference to the fully realized centerpiece of the newly opened Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris.
Starjumper ride vehicle maquette
The Starjumper ride vehicle for the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, is an Omnicoaster, rotating guests 360 degrees through a thrilling chase across time and space.
Shanghai Disney Resort 5th Anniversary icon
Enclosed is a celebratory lighting element that was featured in Club33 at Shanghai Disneyland. Shanghai Disney Resort recently concluded its 5th anniversary.

Mickey’s Toontown
