Following a breakout collaboration on the UNITY shows in Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and its live entertainment partner are bringing one of the Belgian giant’s most revered concepts stateside. CORE, the immersive underground universe that has been quietly building a cult following across Belgium, France, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia, is landing in Los Angeles on May 2 and 3, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most significant electronic music moments the city has seen in years.
For the uninitiated: CORE isn’t just an event. It’s a fully realized creative ecosystem, a carefully constructed audiovisual world defined by cutting-edge production, a curated underground sound, and an atmosphere that hits different from the moment doors open. Global editions have earned it a reputation as one of Tomorrowland’s most celebrated concepts, with Melbourne locked in later this year. But until now, U.S. audiences haven’t had a shot at it. That changes this spring.
The venue choice alone signals intent. Los Angeles State Historic Park, a sprawling, iconic open-air space just minutes from Downtown LA, gets transformed into a fully immersive electronic music environment, complete with large-scale stage design and next-level production that bridges the gap between festival spectacle and underground intimacy.
The lineup is stacked and purposeful. Four Tet, Eric Prydz, and Mall Grab headline a forward-thinking bill, with Mall Grab riding serious global momentum off “Just The Way You Are.” Mija steps up for her CORE debut and drops her new single “Dance Like You Mean It” with Florian Picasso on CORE Records just ahead of the weekend, a move that signals exactly how far CORE has grown beyond a single stage into a full cultural platform. Hannah Laing also makes her CORE debut alongside the rest.
Honey Dijon returns to the concept, cementing her status as a fixture in its world-class rotation. Benwal follows up a standout set at CORE Medellín earlier this year. LA’s own Masha Mar, a pillar of the city’s underground scene and a committed advocate for inclusive, community-driven club culture, brings crucial local energy to the lineup alongside Malugi, whose feel-good, high-energy house sound has been turning heads. The Belgian contingent keeps the concept’s international DNA intact: Oscar and the Wolf, Samm, Capoon, Emilija, and Kneiz all make the transatlantic journey.
This is a first. CORE has, until this moment, remained exclusive to the Tomorrowland ecosystem. Its arrival in LA isn’t just a tour stop. It’s the West Coast’s formal introduction to a concept that has spent years earning its reputation on the other side of the world.
