The Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts’ first property in the Netherlands, has opened its doors to guests. Situated in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic city center, the 16th-century property in the classicist style offers 81 guest rooms, including seven suites, most of which overlook the Amstel Canal. The Rembrandt Suite, measuring 506 square feet, boasts a perfect replica of Rembrandt Van Rijn’s The Night Watch, displayed on the exact wall where the original hung for 70 years. The Empress Suite, once the boudoir of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, has a unique C-shape design for optimum views of the canal and features a king-sized bed with Dutch shields on the ceiling.

Omber restaurant and bar, inspired by Rembrandt’s art and located on the ground floor overlooking the canal, offers a Mediterranean-Dutch fusion menu, with every dish containing an element inspired by the artist’s color palette. Omber Bar serves several signature cocktails, including “Night Watch,” based on an old recipe found in the hotel archives dating back to the 17th century, made with old Jenever, coffee liqueur, syrup, and cherry bitters.
