Lotus unveiled their first four-door hyper-GT, named Emeya. Feng Qingfeng, CEO of Lotus Group, stated that Emeya represents a fusion of the company’s extensive heritage with intelligent performance and cutting-edge technologies, redefining the concept of luxury electric vehicles for drivers.
Emeya combines Lotus’ 75-year engineering and design expertise with the latest innovations, delivering an exciting and high-performing electric car. Notable features include active aerodynamics, an electronically controlled air suspension system, and a low center of gravity called ‘hyperstance’ for enhanced stability.
Emeya’s top model boasts a high-power dual motor setup, achieving impressive speeds and acceleration. Additionally, it offers rapid charging capabilities, adding substantial range in a short time.
Lotus prioritized sustainability, incorporating advanced materials into Emeya’s design. These materials are sustainably sourced, reducing the vehicle’s carbon footprint. Inside, the car features a premium audio system developed with KEF, offering an immersive music experience.
Ben Payne, Vice-President of Design at Lotus Group, described Emeya as a unique luxury performance car, connecting drivers to the road with confidence, exhilaration, and pure joy.
Emeya seamlessly combines emotion and logic, Lotus’ sports car DNA with four-door luxury and comfort, reflecting the company’s ambition and commitment. Emeya takes its place as Lotus’ flagship model in their lineup of luxury electric vehicles, aligning with their vision to become a global performance brand by 2028, with production set to commence in 2024.
The global premiere of Emeya occurred in New York City, marking a significant moment in Lotus’ history. It was part of a comprehensive brand experience showcasing Lotus’ past, present, and future at Studio Emeya in Manhattan.
