On May 31, Netflix transformed the Kia Forum in Los Angeles into a celebration of fandom, storytelling, and spectacle with its largest live iteration yet of Tudum, the global fan event named after the platform’s signature intro sound. The event featured surprise performances from Lady Gaga and Hanumankind, a star-studded lineup, and exclusive first looks at some of Netflix’s most anticipated titles. Thousands of attendees filled the sold-out arena, while global audiences tuned in via livestream on Netflix.

Hosted by Sofia Carson, the evening unfolded after fans experienced an immersive, interactive red carpet. The entrance featured elaborate themed builds, photo areas dedicated to individual titles, and high-energy fan zones.

Tudum, which debuted in 2020 as a multi-title festival in São Paulo, has since evolved into a key event for Netflix, blending livestreams, digital experiences, and in-person activations. This year marked the first time the show streamed live exclusively on the platform, giving subscribers around the world a real-time, unfiltered experience.

Netflix CMO Marian Lee described the event as a “sold-out celebration” of the platform’s unique blend of storytelling and cultural resonance. According to Lee, the night showcased what makes Netflix a singular entertainment destination — from surprise celebrity appearances to major announcements and live music performances.

The night opened with a high-octane performance from the Squid Game cast, with the show’s pink-clad guards taking over the stage. Cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim, and Choi Seung-hyun later revealed the official trailer for Squid Game Season 3, announcing a premiere date of June 27.

Another headline moment came courtesy of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Writer-director Rian Johnson was joined on stage by stars Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Cailee Spaeny, and Daryl McCormack. Together, they introduced a sneak peek of the upcoming film, which arrives on December 12.

The One Piece cast also made waves with help from WWE stars CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. Cast members Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar presented the first glimpse at the new season, confirmed to release in 2026.

Guillermo del Toro took the stage alongside Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth to share insights into Frankenstein, his latest directorial project. In a pre-recorded message, Jacob Elordi greeted fans before the trio debuted a teaser trailer for the gothic adaptation.

Meanwhile, Happy Gilmore 2 brought a nostalgic energy to the evening. The cast joined host Rich Eisen for a lively Q&A, with surprise appearances by Lavell Crawford, Blake Clark, Kym Whitley, Jon Lovitz, Ethan Cutkosky, and Conor Sherry. The sequel, which revisits the beloved 1996 comedy, is set to premiere July 25.

Stranger Things also had a major moment. Cast members Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin honored the legacy of the series before a video message from Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo unveiled the release schedule for the show’s fifth and final season. The new season will roll out in three parts: November 26, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve — all debuting at 5:00 p.m. PT.

The event concluded with a reveal from the Wednesday cast, including Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán, Joanna Lumley, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez. The first five minutes of Wednesday Season 2 were shown onstage, with the new season split across two premiere dates: August 6 and September 3.
