The “La Suite Lupin Building” is set to be completed in December 2024 in Shinkocho, Chuo Ward, Kobe.

The building will feature the Le Pain Main Store, offering bread and sweets from Le Pain Kobe Kitano, a bakery that has been a staple in Kitano, Kobe since April 2012 and is managed by Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland. The complex will also host a cafe with a foot bath using natural hot spring water, a multi-purpose hall with stunning views of Kobe Port, and a rooftop restaurant and bar.

A highlight of the building is the Le Pain Main Branch, where customers can buy bread and sweets from Le Pain Kobe Kitano. Known for using locally sourced ingredients like flour, milk, and eggs from Hyogo Prefecture, along with select ingredients from around the globe, this bakery crafts rich-tasting bread with a natural yeast starter roasted in-house. The store offers a wide variety of simply seasoned breads perfect for daily enjoyment, as well as stylish baked goods that reflect Kobe’s reputation as a city of sweets.

The bread served at breakfast at Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland has been so popular that many guests wanted to take some home, which inspired the hotel to open its own bakery in 2012. The bakery’s offerings are made with carefully selected local and international ingredients, and the natural yeast used is roasted in-house to enhance the flavor. These simply seasoned breads are perfect companions to any meal, and the stylish baked goods, unique to Kobe, make for excellent souvenirs.
