Since December 2023, a new Temple Street promotion has been launched by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), centered around the themes “A Taste of Temple Street” and “Captivating Street Decors.” With the addition of local food stalls offering authentic flavors and illuminated art installations, the night market has been revitalized, becoming a popular destination for both locals and visitors alike. Recently, HKTB announced a six-month extension of the Temple Street project until December this year. Alongside this extension, they have launched the second phase of promotion, featuring extended lantern decors aimed at rejuvenating the retail section of Temple Street and attracting even more visitors.

Moreover, HKTB has enlisted the help of local grassroots pop song legend Wan Kwong to remake a new music video for his iconic song “I Love Temple Street,” showcasing the street’s charm with his unique vocal style.

As night falls, Temple Street comes alive with color and vibrancy. The bustling night market and illuminated art installations draw visitors who eagerly capture moments with their cameras as they explore. HKTB has expanded the traditional lantern decors, covering 300 meters of the night market from the “A Taste of Temple Street” section to the retail area, infusing the neighborhood with joyful vibes and enhancing its lively atmosphere.

With 22 food stalls and 10 mobile vendors offering nostalgic classic snacks, visitors can indulge in a wide range of tastes from around the world, catering to diverse preferences at the night market.
