Ferraro’s Ristorante extends an invitation to its esteemed guests to join them for the upcoming Taste & Learn event on Saturday, September 16th, at 5 p.m. This monthly occasion, known as Taste & Learn, has earned a reputation for its unique blend of wine education and culinary delight, featuring a curated menu of Italian small plates crafted by the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Mimmo Ferraro.

The September Taste & Learn event shines a spotlight on wines hailing from Jermann and Renato Ratti. Jermann, with a winemaking heritage tracing back to the 18th century, has earned global acclaim for its unwavering commitment to quality, innovative approaches, and an impressive range of distinctive white wines. In contrast, for over half a century, the Renato Ratti estate has passionately crafted the classical wines of Italy’s Langhe district. It is particularly renowned for producing Barolo, one of Northern Italy’s most iconic wines.

The Taste & Learn gathering will commence with a tasting of Jermann’s Pinot Grigio, a dry, velvety, and aromatic white wine that harmonizes beautifully with fresh seafood. Following that, the lineup features the Renato Ratti Barbera d’Asti, a rich red wine boasting ripe fruit notes and subtle hints of spices. The journey continues with the Renato Ratti Ochetti Nebbiolo, a ruby-red wine bursting with strawberry and raspberry undertones. To cap off this delightful tasting experience, attendees will savor the Renato Ratti Marcenasco Barolo, a red wine that strikes a harmonious balance between licorice and tobacco notes, making it an ideal accompaniment for pork dishes.
