On February 8th, in Los Angeles, the Queens Ball took place, marking the premiere event for National Geographic’s QUEENS, the pioneering nature series narrated entirely through a female perspective. Held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California, the event showcased the culmination of years of effort by a female-led production team from across the globe.

The series delves into the untamed corners of the Earth, spotlighting powerful female leaders in the animal kingdom. Narrated by acclaimed actress Angela Bassett, QUEENS portrays a narrative of strength, sacrifice, friendship, and love among matriarchal societies. Through cutting-edge technology, the series offers unprecedented insights into how female animals rise to prominence, often through cooperation and wisdom rather than sheer brute force.
