This year, The Peninsula Tokyo embraces the holiday season with the theme “Sending Love” and vibrant, colorful decorations that promise to instill a festive spirit in everyone. Combining classic traditions with a sense of togetherness, The Peninsula Tokyo remains an ideal venue for celebrating life’s timeless moments. A grand five-meter-tall Christmas tree, elegantly decorated, welcomes guests in The Lobby.

Nestled within The Peninsula Tokyo’s Nakadori Avenue entrance, Nakadori Café – The Terrace invites guests to experience an enchanting Christmas Market, creating a captivating winter village ambiance. Illuminated by dazzling lights, the market offers traditional holiday treats and gifts, and features a spectacular oversized advent calendar for the eagerly awaited countdown. Guests can send festive greetings with hotel original postcards, available in all guest rooms and at The Terrace, and mail them directly from the hotel’s distinguished red post boxes on Nakadori Avenue and at The Lobby.

Curated family-friendly programs include the annual Gingerbread House Decorating Class, where children can decorate their own confectionery masterpieces to take home and enjoy during the Christmas holidays. To express gratitude to the local community, The Peninsula Tokyo reintroduces Acts of Kindness on December 24, treating guests and passers-by to complimentary hot chocolate and Glühwein at The Peninsula Café at Nakadori, amidst charming Christmas décor.

The beloved Peninsula mascot, Peter Bear, makes surprise appearances in The Lobby to meet and greet guests, creating treasured moments to share. Additionally, the angelic Children’s Christmas Choir serenades guests with Christmas carols on December 23, 24, and 25 at 5:00 pm.

Exquisite holiday dining experiences await guests at each restaurant, including a spectacular Christmas Concert Gala Dinner. At Peter, the hotel’s 24th-floor steak & grill restaurant, diners can indulge in an opulent festive four-course dinner, featuring highlights like farm-raised tuna, The Peninsula caviar, and Matsuzaka A5 wagyu beef. The Peninsula Boutique offers a curated gift collection, including gourmet hampers, signature chocolates, and hand-crafted Christmas cakes by Executive Pastry Chef Pascal Cialdella.

To spread festive cheer, The Peninsula Tokyo presents Christmas Dinner Concerts by the Tokyo Sinfonia Orchestra, accompanied by sumptuous four-course dinners and free-flowing Deutz Champagne and Deutz Rosé. A portion of the proceeds from Afternoon Tea sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish Japan and Japan Toy Hospital Association in support of children with life-threatening illnesses and broken toys.
