Rolex has unveiled three new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36, each featuring radiant dials in decorative stones adorned with diamond-set hour markers and Roman VI and IX. The first variant is made of 18 ct Everose gold and showcases a green aventurine dial, while the second is crafted from 18 ct yellow gold and features a carnelian dial. The third variant is in 18 ct white gold and boasts a turquoise dial textured with natural veining. All three watches come with a bezel set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds and the iconic President bracelet with a concealed Crownclasp.

The new Day-Date 36 versions are equipped with calibre 3255, a movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology, enabling them to display the day and date, as well as hours, minutes, and seconds. Additionally, the Day-Date 36 carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, which ensures excellent performance on the wrist.

The Day-Date range of watches is made exclusively from precious metals, including 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold, or 950 platinum. This range was launched in 1956, and the Day-Date was the first calendar wristwatch to indicate the day of the week spelled out in full in an arc-shaped window at 12 o’clock on the dial. The day of the week is available in a choice of 26 languages.

The Oyster case of the new Day-Date 36 versions is 36 mm and waterproof to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). The middle case of each version is crafted from a solid block of 18 ct yellow, white, or Everose gold. The case back is hermetically screwed down with a special tool that allows only Rolex watchmakers to access the movement. The Twinlock winding crown, fitted with a double waterproofness system, screws down securely against the case. The crystal is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire and benefits from an anti-reflective coating.

The new versions of the Day-Date 36 come with the Perpetual calibre 3255, a self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex. It was introduced in 2015 and incorporated in this model in 2019. This movement offers exceptional precision, power reserve, convenience, and reliability. It features the patented Chronergy escapement made of nickel-phosphorus, which provides high energy efficiency and great dependability, while being resistant to strong magnetic fields.

The blue Parachrom hairspring, made of a paramagnetic alloy, ensures stability against temperature variations and high shock resistance. It is equipped with a Rolex overcoil, providing regularity in any position. The oscillator is mounted on the patented Paraflex shock absorbers, which increases the movement’s shock resistance. The Perpetual rotor, a self-winding system, allows the movement to run for approximately 70 hours. The new versions of the Day-Date 36 are fitted on a President bracelet, a three-piece link bracelet created exclusively for the Day-Date and precious metal versions of the Datejust. The bracelet is made of 18 ct gold or 950 platinum and features patented ceramic inserts for added flexibility and longevity. The bracelet is made of 18 ct Everose gold for the variant with the green aventurine dial, 18 ct yellow gold for the carnelian dial variant, and 18 ct white gold for the watch with the turquoise dial. It includes an elegant concealed folding Crownclasp.
