Celine’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection is here. The theme for this season is “La Collection De Saint-Tropez.”

The stage for the collection announcement was Ramatuelle, which faces the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in southern France. After Hedi Slimane became the creative director of Celine in 2018, he left California, where he lived for 10 years, and chose to settle there.

The first look is a cropped striped knit. A crochet mini dress reminiscent of a vacation in the Mediterranean Sea, a triangle-shaped bikini top, a military deck jacket, and a marine cap with the triomphe logo were interwoven to create a French-chic marine style.

Adding an edgy element to the collection are pieces inspired by the British and American rock scenes of the 2000s. By inserting a black leather mini skirt and voluminous biker boots into a refreshing resort look, it creates a somewhat rebellious and rock taste. Eddie’s unique skinny jeans and slim tailored jacket are also attractive.

The show’s music is by Karl Baller and Pete Doherty of The Libertines. It is said that Hedi Slimane, who has been friends for 20 years, reunited the two and asked them to make music. Eddie played an important role in the music scene of the 2000s. A nostalgic mood permeates the entire collection as if he nostalgically remembers the days gone by in the south of France where he now lives.
