“New Sensation” planetarium will be screened at Konica Minolta Planetaria Tokyo in Yurakucho and Konica Minolta Planetarium Tenku in Tokyo Skytree Town in Oshiage from Friday, January 27, 2023. Collaborative works with popular musicians are featured in an immersive, healing environment with pleasing aromatic fragrances that waft through space and time.

PLANETARIA TOKYO is Japan’s first full-dome theater complex consisting of two dome theaters, a VR attraction, a cafe and a shop.  PLANETARIA TOKYO is located in Yurakucho Mullion, the iconic building complex near Yurakucho station. In 1938, Yurakucho was the location of Tokyo’s first-ever planetarium.  Imagine a new style of show programming that combines a starry night talk and musical, live music where you can enjoy both full dome images and music, and a bar-style planetarium where you can marvel at a truly realistic starry sky while enjoying your favorite beverages. Experience an immersive feeling with 8K imagery projected from the floor to the zenith as the entire dome space wraps around you.

“TENKU” opened in TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN® on May 22nd, 2012 under the direct management of Konica Minolta Planetarium and had a full renovation in November 2017.  The combination of “INFINIUM S,” the optical planetarium projecting beautiful realistic stars and “Media Globe Σ 4KTE-L,” the digital planetarium demonstrating dynamic images gives an immersive experience and great attraction.

Three premium seats shaped just like a crescent moon are located at the front of the dome. These seats, with their charming form and comfortable texture, are completely custom-made.

The latest 3D SOUND DOME® system has been installed, which offers the finest acoustic experience, making the sounds truly come alive like never before. A total of 43 speakers and 4 woofers have been packed into the dome, offering a whole new level of refinement to the movements of the sound– not only front and back, and left and right, but also circular movements.
