Al Janoub Stadium – See football sail into a new era
AI Janoub Stadium’s design brings the city of AI Wakrah’s fishing and pearl diving history to life. Its graceful lines and flowing curves were inspired by traditional dhow boats weaving through the currents of the Gulf. This futuristic 40,000-seat arena bridges the old and new – a strong visual representation of Qatar’s drive to reach beyond its shores.
Al Thumama Stadium – A coming of age for the beautiful game
The beautiful 40,000-seat Al Thumama Stadium is inspired by the gahfiya, a cap worn to hold men’s traditional headdresses in place, as well as on its own by boys. The arena’s emotive design tugs at the heartstrings of Qataris and people across the region. More importantly, its cultural role marks every young boy’s path into adulthood.

The 40,000-seat stadium is inspired by Qatar’s legacy of seafaring and trade. And what’s amazing is that it’s the first ever fully demountable FIFA World Cup™ football stadium.
