The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch will once again open its doors to guests, inviting them to immerse themselves in the vibrant spectacle of blooming colors starting Friday, March 1, 2024. Nestled among the picturesque hills of Carlsbad, California, the fields will showcase a dazzling array of flora, marking the onset of spring with their vivid hues. This year’s theme, “Spring into Color,” not only heralds the arrival of the season but also celebrates the tireless efforts of the farm in cultivating fifty-five acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus. These renowned flowers boast large, double-petaled blooms adorning tall, straight stems.

Spanning eight to ten weeks, the season promises an array of activities to engage visitors, from live music performances to workshops and wellness classes inspired by the bounties of nature. Fred Clarke, the general manager of The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, remarks, “The splendor of color at The Flower Fields transcends our fields of rainbow ranunculus. Whether it’s the vibrant wagons ferrying visitors, the enticing lemonade and sprinkle-dipped ice creams, or the delights of blueberry picking, the Sea of Sunflowers, and the assorted gardens, color saturates every corner.”

The 2024 calendar brims with an exciting lineup, including the highly anticipated outdoor music series featuring Swingergy, The Derringers, Bill Magee, SoRockBlu, Bayou Brothers, Cool Rush, and Michele Lundeen. Nostalgic attractions such as the American Flag of Flowers, Tractor Wagon Rides, Sweet Pea Maze, Santa’s Playground, and the Carlsbad Mining Company will continue to enchant guests, a testament to the enduring charm that has drawn visitors to The Flower Fields for over sixty years.
