The Queen of Hip Hop Soul is headed to Las Vegas. Mary J. Blige, the GRAMMY and Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominated artist whose voice has soundtracked three decades of heartbreak, survival, and triumph, has announced her first ever Las Vegas residency. The run will take place at Dolby Live at Park MGM, marking a major milestone in a career defined by reinvention and emotional honesty.
Titled Mary J. Blige My Life, My Story The Las Vegas Residency, the engagement launches Friday, May 1, 2026, and spans ten performances through July. The residency promises an intimate yet expansive look at Blige’s catalog and life story, drawing from the music and moments that shaped her journey from gritty New York soul singer to global icon.
Blige has described the residency as a long held dream, one rooted in connection rather than spectacle alone. The show is designed to bring fans together from around the world for a shared experience, reflecting the deeply personal bond she has cultivated with listeners over the years. According to Blige, My Life, My Story will offer something special for those who have followed her through every era, with surprises woven in for longtime supporters.
Tickets will be released in multiple presale phases ahead of the general on sale. Citi and AAdvantage are the official presale credit card partners for the residency, giving cardmembers early access beginning Tuesday, January 13 at 10 a.m. PT through Citi Entertainment. Additional presales follow with an artist fan presale starting Wednesday, January 14 at 10 a.m. PT. MGM Rewards members, along with Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers, will receive presale access beginning Thursday, January 15 at 10 a.m. PT. All presales conclude Thursday, January 15 at 10 p.m. PT.
General ticket sales begin Friday, January 16 at 10 a.m. PT. Scheduled performance dates include May 1, May 2, May 6, May 8, and May 9, followed by July 10, July 11, July 15, July 17, and July 18. All shows are set for an 8 p.m. start, with tickets available via ticketmaster.com.
Blige’s Las Vegas arrival comes amid a legacy few artists can rival. Across eight multi platinum albums, she has earned nine GRAMMY Awards from thirty seven nominations, along with an Emmy Award and multiple Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild nominations. In October 2024, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024, cementing her status as one of the most influential voices in American music.
From her 1992 debut What’s the 411? to the raw emotional core of My Life and beyond, Blige reshaped modern R and B by fusing hip hop rhythms with soul traditions and unfiltered storytelling. Influenced early by Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, and Gladys Knight, she carved out a sound that felt both street level and timeless. With My Life, My Story, Blige now brings that legacy to the Las Vegas stage, offering a live chronicle of the music and moments that made her who she is.
