Jessica Simpson to Headline Women Who Rock Benefit Concert at Stage AE in Pittsburgh

On September 5th, the stage at Stage AE will ignite with female power as the Annual Women Who Rock™ Benefit Concert Presented by Gibson Gives returns, headlined by none other than Jessica Simpson. This highly anticipated event is more than a night of entertainment; it’s a rallying cry for women’s health.

Despite making up over half the population, women receive less than 10% of all federal funding for health research. Even that limited funding is at risk. That’s why proceeds from the Women Who Rock™ Benefit Concert go directly to Magee-Womens Research Institute, the nation’s first and largest institute dedicated solely to groundbreaking research across the entire spectrum of women’s health.

This year’s headliner, Jessica Simpson, is a powerhouse performer and entrepreneur. With more than 20 million albums sold and a string of TV, film, and publishing credits, Simpson has long been a household name. Her fashion empire, The Jessica Simpson Collection, launched in 2005 and has since generated over $1 billion in revenue, making her one of the most successful celebrity fashion moguls of all time.

In 2020, Simpson became a best-selling author with her candid memoir Open Book, which debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list and resonated widely for its vulnerability and truth. Now, after a hiatus from music, she is returning to her roots with a new two-part EP, Nashville Canyon—a deeply personal project inspired by rockabilly, Americana, and soul. The EP, co-written with some of Nashville’s top songwriters and produced by JD McPherson, explores themes of heartbreak, healing, and reinvention.

Fashion designer Kiya Tomlin will be honored with the 2025 WWR Impact Award, presented by Peoples, an Essential Utilities Company. Hosting the evening will be Kelly Dzanaj, on-air personality from 100.7 Star FM.
