Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen on April 30, 2021. To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up. The theme park has made improvements on some of the attractions including the Haunted Mansion.
Few elements have been updated in and around the estate. Outside visitors will see a new landscape and inside few changes have been made in the portrait hallway. In Fantasyland, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish ride now has new scenes including a dancing figure of Snow White joining the dwarfs in their cottage. In addition, new lighting, new shadow projections, and new magic mirror are added to the ride.
Beneath the vibrant medieval tent in Fantasyland, King Arthur Carrousel has been refurbished. The carrousel was built in 1922 and was one of the original attractions when Disneyland opened in 1955. Today, it is adorned with a new parchment white canopy, topped with 14 karat gold leafing around its crown and along the canopy edges, with patterns inspired by King Arthur’s family crest. The horses have been freshly repainted by hand, using 30 different colors throughout the carrousel, and no two horses are alike.
Upon reopening, Disneyland will continue to utilize a virtual queue system for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Distribution times for virtual queue enrollment will be twice daily, one in the morning, and one later in the day.
Theme Park Parking
As you approach the Disneyland Resort, simply follow signs to one of the parking facilities listed below. Parking locations for the theme parks open 30 minutes prior to the earliest standard Disneyland Resort theme park opening time. A limited number of ChargePoint charging ports can be found in the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and Pixar Pals Parking Structure. To use a port, you’ll need to scan a ChargePoint card.

Want closer proximity to elevators and escalators? You may opt to park in designated Preferred Parking spaces—available at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and Pixar Pals Parking Structure. Upon arrival, purchase Preferred Parking and a Cast Member will direct you to the appropriate parking spot. If you’ve already purchased parking, simply pay the difference for that day’s upgrade to Preferred Parking at any Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structure toll booth.
