Cao Fei’s Digital Vision Hits Streetwear in the New PUMA x BMW M Motorsport Drop

The PUMA x BMW M Motorsport Art Car Capsule by Cao Fei dropped on 1 November at the M Festival in Chengdu’s Tianfu International Raceway, unveiling a collision of speed, culture, and digital futurism. Cao Fei, the Chinese multimedia visionary behind BMW Art Car 18, first shook the art world in 2017 when she transformed a BMW M6 GT3 into a portal between physical and virtual realities. Her creation marked the first digital Art Car in the brand’s history and pushed the series straight into the hyperconnected future.

Her original concept lives again in this capsule. It’s a wardrobe built like a parallel universe. AR driven graphics, tech inspired touches, and glow in the dark accents evoke the electric pulse of China’s fast shifting digital landscape. Tradition meets tomorrow in pieces made to be worn, not just watched.

Chengdu’s M Festival gathered thousands of BMW M fanatics celebrating performance heritage and pure horsepower. On stage, Cao Fei broke down the creative journey behind Art Car 18 and revealed how her collaboration with PUMA transformed that digital-physical fusion into a lifestyle collection you can actually step into.

One signature thread runs through the entire drop: glow in the dark detailing that echoes the neon edge of her original work. Each item channels a different layer of Art Car 18, delivering standout visuals day or night. The capsule is now available worldwide, including through the BMW Lifestyle Shop.
