Key features such as courtyards and a light color palette will persist but with modifications for a contemporary aesthetic.
A top-tier landscape and environmental design team, including Dept., Edwina von Gal, Beth Dowdle, and Farr Associates, will ensure sustainability and connectivity with nature in the North Village. Inspired by the Indian River Lagoon’s ecology, native plants and water features will enhance the surroundings.
To minimize ecological impact, homes in the North Village must attain certification through the Passive House Institute US program. Isaac Stein, Design Principal at Dept., emphasizes the focus on ecological stewardship and biodiversity.
