KOEI TECMO Europe has exciting news for fans of the classic game, PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. The remastered version of the Japanese horror adventure is now available for pre-order on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®. The game is set to be released on March 9th, 2023.
In this thrilling game, players take on the role of Ruka Minazuki, Misaki Aso, and Madoka Tsukimori as they delve into the mystery of what happened a decade ago and attempt to regain their lost memories. The game takes place on the haunting Rogetsu Isle, where players must face the spirits that reside there. To do so, players are equipped with the Camera Obscura, a special camera that can be used to banish ghosts and seal their powers through photography. Later in the game, players will also have access to the Spirit Torch, a device that uses stored moonlight from a spirit stone to subdue spirits.
KOEI TECMO Europe has also shared details about the digital pre-order bonus and Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a chilling new Story Trailer for fans to enjoy.
KOEI TECMO Europe has released a new Story Trailer for PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, giving players a sneak peek at the game’s story and mechanics, including the Photo Mode, where they can capture haunting memories of their journey. The trailer also showcases a range of alternative costumes available to each character, including the original outfits and brand new costumes for players to enjoy their investigations in style.
The digital pre-orders for the game are now open for all platforms, including Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®. Those who pre-order by March 2nd, 2023, will receive a range of pre-order bonuses, including the Ruka Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (white/red), the Misaki Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/red), the Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/blue), and the Ruka, Misaki and Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Spirit Stone Flashlight Hat”.
In addition to the standard version of the game, KOEI TECMO Europe has also unveiled the PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Digital Deluxe Edition. This luxurious edition of the game is available digitally and includes the “Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set” and a digital art book, along with the original soundtrack. The “Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set” features three swimsuit costumes, two Chinese dress costumes, two pyjama costumes, and six accessories exclusive to Ruka, Misaki and/or Choshiro.
In addition to the Digital Deluxe Edition, there will also be a PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack available for purchase, which includes the same content as the Digital Deluxe Edition, but without the base game.
Moreover, players who purchase the digital copy of the game by March 22nd, 2023, will have access to the early purchase bonus: the Ruka Exclusive Costume “Marie Rose Outfit” from the Dead or Alive series. Additionally, fans who have played PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water will receive a special Save Data Bonus, the “Camera Obscura Hat”, if they play PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on the same device that has saved data from the previous game.
