This September, Mei Ume in London celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with the launch of its festive menu and intricately crafted mooncakes. One of the most important dates in the Chinese calendar, the festival celebrates the harvest moon, with families and communities gathering for celebrations of feasting and toasting, culminating in the final day of the festival on September 21, 2021.

From September 7 to 21, 2021, Mei Ume’s mooncakes will be available to purchase in a beautifully decorated East-meets-West style box. Tony has crafted four different iterations of the delicate pastries, both traditional and snow-skinned (mochi), with flavors including red bean paste and pine nuts; white lotus with salted egg; matcha; and a new signature flavor for this year, rose jam.

In addition, Chef Tony Truong has crafted a special menu of Chinese dishes traditionally eaten during the festival to symbolize gratitude and togetherness. The menu includes a selection of starters, a dim sum platter with har gau, siu mai, Shanghai dumplings and black truffle vegetarian dim sum, as well as the restaurant’s signature Peking duck. Completing the menu is a selection of main courses such as lobster with ginger and spring onions; soy and ginger steamed seabass; and golden fried corn-fed chicken.

The Mid-Autumn Festival menu will be available at Mei Ume from September 7 to 21, 2021 for GBP 68 per person (2-person minimum). Mooncakes are priced at GBP 48 for six and can be pre-ordered for collection at online.

Mei Ume is located inside Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square.
